Wilder vs Ortiz Prefight Breakdown with Lotierzo – This Saturday March 3rd sees Showtime Boxing at The Barclays Center in New York. The Premier Boxing Champions presents a battle for the WBC world heavyweight championship. The current title holder Deontay “Bronze Bomber” Wilder faces Cuba’s Luis “King Kong” Ortiz in a fight between undefeated boxers.

Wilder and Ortiz were supposed to face last November but the Cuban failed two performance-enhancing drug tests, the second of which caused the cancellation of the match and forced Wilder to take on the busywork chore of fighting Bermane Stiverne a second time. Ortiz’ failed test, for a diuretic often used to mask the presence of a PED in the system, only temporarily cost him a shot at the title. The WBC accepted his defense — that he had taken the drug for a high blood pressure condition — and reinstated him so he could fight Wilder.

In this latest TBC segment with Frank Lotierzo, he takes a look at Saturday’s match-up and what we may see in the ring.
