Wilder vs Ortiz is Official – The much talked-about heavyweight title fight between WBC champion Deontay Wilder and Luis Ortiz is officially signed for March 3rd at the Barclays Center.
Luis Ortiz, 28-0 and 39 years old, has long looked to land a world title shot. Wilder is looking to make the seventh successful defense of the WBC belt he won back in January of 2015. For Wilder, he is also looking at an even bigger fight later this year against IBF and WBA champion Anthony Joshua. Ortiz would like nothing more than to play spoiler for that one.
The fight will air on Showtime and the live event will also feature a rematch between Andre Dirrell and Jose Uzcategui for the vacant IBF world title at super middleweight.
In this latest TBC segment, we are joined by our “road warrior” analyst Ray Flores to discuss the Wilder/Ortiz bout now that the bout is official.
