WBA Outreach in Medellin – Boxing Changes Lives – The World Boxing Association annual convention is being hosted in Medellin, Colombia and Wednesday saw the WBA Outreach program in full swing.

The WBA convention took to the streets as they went to Comuna Tres, Barrio La Honda in Medellin. The idea of the trip was to promote boxing to the youth of the disadvantaged neighborhood, something the WBA will devote itself to heavily in the future. The idea is that boxing can change lives.

Some of the boxing luminaries that were present for the occasion included Oscar De La Hoya, Bernard Hopkins, Roy Jones Jr. Chris Algieri, Rosendo Alvarez, Jessica “Tuti” Bopp, Jorge Linares and “Kid Pambelé” Antonio Cervantes among others.
