In a rematch of one of 2015's most thrilling fights, defending 118-pound champion Juan Carlos Payano would have to dig deep to hold off 3-time U.S. Olympian Rau'shee Warren.
The two fought a highly-debated 12-round war last summer and a rematch immediately felt necessary.
And just like in their first meeting, the bout went 12 round and was filled with action from both sides.
Warren built an early lead on the judges' scorecards, and though the two fighters' punch stats looked similar in the end, Warren's cleaner work gave him an edge this time around.
One judge scored it a 114-114 draw, while the other two overruled with 115-113 scores in favor of the Cincinnati native, who avenged his lone professional loss and became a world champion on the same night.
