Valdez Outpoints Quigg At The StubHub Center – Saturday, March 10th, Bob Arum and Top Rank Boxing were at the Stub Hub Center in Carson, California, and back on ESPN with a major fight. WBO featherweight champion and undefeated Oscar Valdez (24-0-0, 19 KOs) faced former WBA super bantamweight champion Scott Quigg (34-2-2, 25 KOs) from Bury, England.

Quigg came in 2.8lbs overweight so the title would have been vacated if Valdez lost.

The fight saw Valdez and Quigg battling for the full 12 rounds. Valdez, who broke Quigg’s nose (it didn’t look pretty) had too much hand and foot speed for Quigg and at the end Oscar won by unanimous decision, the judges scoring it 117-111, 117-111, and 118-110.
