Tom Loeffler managing director of K2 Promotions talks about the results of the #G4 event, with Gennady Golovking beating Daniel Geale by TKO and Bryant Jennings getting a Split Decision win over Mike Perez and what that means for the Heavyweight division.

In the latter part of the interview, he talks about the Heavyweights. People keep mentioning how prepared Perez was. In my point of view, he clearly ran out of gas even before the end of the fight, which was a snoozer to begin with; as his opponent was also a cure for insomnia. I don't see how the words “future heavyweight champion” can be used with either fighter.

I know people who are sports fans and would be considered lukewarm boxing fans at best. They know about big fights and big names in the sport but little else. They are starting to pick up on Golovkin though and I am starting to get asked about him more. I think a big part of the reason he is getting more attention from the casual sports fan is the KO percentage which is getting some national attention.
