Talking Premier Boxing Champions with Eddie Goldman – 2016 saw the Premier Boxing Champions close out their second year of operation. The manner of operations the company chooses leaves them open to a lot of speculation, and though the schedule for 2016 was filled with solid fights, the PBC was seen to stumble towards the end of the year, offering an extremely limited fight calendar from October through December.

Near the close of the year the company released the first part of their schedule for 2017, announcing a series of fights that will air on Showtime. Soon after, the calendar started to fill in and 2017 looks like it will see the PBC enter their third year on pace to produce more fight events than they did in 2015.

The calendar kicks off with back-to-back nights of fights as the PBC is in Florida this Friday, January 13th presenting the Erislandy Lara vs Yuri Foreman WBA world title fight at 154 pounds for airing on Spike TV and Saturday night sees them in Brooklyn, New York for the Badou Jack vs James DeGale 168-pound title unification bout.
