Talking Pacquiao vs Horn with Frank Lotierzo – This coming April 23rd at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia, WBO world welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao will defend his belt against native son Jeff Horn.
The 38-year-old Pacquiao has set a goal of three fights in 2017, and his promoter Bob Arum has talked about a “world tour” as Pac-Man approaches his 70th career fight. Australian boxing has rallied around the 28-year-old Horn, who made a name for himself representing Australia at the 2012 London Olympic games. As a pro, Horn is 16-0-1 fighting in Australia and New Zealand, and he has a handful of regional titles already in his trophy case.
Pacquiao is looking at just a handful of fights left in his career and the “world tour” theme would appear to maximize his earnings, as the Filipino sensation has never fought “down under” in his long career. Recently, Pacquiao even threw his name in the hat in the “Conor McGregor Sweepstakes” as Pac-Man showed an interest in boxing the MMA champion in a boxing match. He will have to get by Horn first.
