Sunday Action in Tokyo – The “Monster” Faces Mexico's Carmona

Sunday, May 8th sees the Ariake Colleseum in Tokyo, Japan host and eight fight boxing card that is headlined by two world title fights.

In both matches, Japanese world champions step in to defend their titles against rivals from Mexico in what may be the hottest rivalry in boxing today.

Veteran IBF World light flyweight Champion Akira Yaegashi (23-5) puts his belt on the line against Martin Tecuapetla (13-6-3) and 23 year old phenom Naoya Inoue (9-0) defends his WBO World super flyweight title against David Carmona (20-2-5).

Inoue's 20 year old brother Takuma (6-0) and cousin Koki (2-0) both fature on the undercard.
