Spence Jr vs Peterson Quick Results – Errol Spence Jr methodically broke down veteran Lamont Peterson in defense of his IBF world welterweight title on Showtime Saturday night. The end came at the start of the eighth round when Peterson’s corner declared that their fighter had taken enough punishment. For Spence Jr, it is the first defense of the world title he won back in May of last year and it was a strong performance over a game veteran.
IBF lightweight champion Robert Easter Jr struggled with Javier Fortuna but edged the game challenger by split decision. The belt was not on the line for Easter Jr as Fortuna failed to make weight on Friday, but if Easter Jr expected an easy time he did not get it.
