Rios vs. Chaves started out as we all expected, two action packed fighters going at it, and for the first couple of rounds it was an entertaining fight, soon though, it started to turn messy, point deductions applied on both ends, warnings, wrestling moves… and it all ended with the decision of referee Vic Drakulich in round 9 to disqualify Diego Chaves.

Everyone was stunned, with just one round to go, and a close fight, (scorecards at the time where 75-74 for Brandon RIos and 75-74, 75-74 for Diego Chaves) it seemed an unfair decision for Diego Chaves, since both fighters were guilty of dirty fighting.

Chaves should be fined. There was no reason for his trying to poke Bam Bam's eyes out.Holla!

Chaves should definitely be disciplined for his actions.

Rios was no choir boy in there either however. He did his share of fouling as well.

All in all, an ugly brawl I guess is the best way to put this one. I had such high expectations and thought we'd see a much better fight than what ultimately played out in the ring.
