Ray Flores Talks Russell Jr vs Escandon Title Scrap – Showtime Boxing is back at the MGM National Theater in Oxon Hill, Maryland Saturday night as they present WBC world featherweight champion Gary Russell Jr’s latest title defense as he faces the challenge of Colombia’s tough Oscar Escandon.

Both men have been away from competition for more than a year. This match was originally scheduled for March 11th but was postponed when Escandon suffered a back injury. Russell Jr last fought in April of 2016 when he starched Ireland’s Patrick Hyland in less than two rounds. He will be looking to add to his highlight reel come Saturday night.
