Ray Flores First Look at Wilder vs Ortiz – Saturday, March 3rd will see WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder return to action to face undefeated Luis Ortiz. The fight takes place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and it is commonly considered that the undefeated Ortiz (28-0) represents the champion’s toughest test to date.
Wilder (38-0) was scheduled to take on Ortiz late last year but the fight fell apart when Ortiz was flagged for a PED. Ortiz has since gone through a process with the WBC that clears him of that misstep and allows him to fight. Wilder, who has had previous opponents fail tests that led to having fights fall apart, has stated publicly that he has “blessed” Ortiz with a second chance.
In this latest TBC segment, we are joined by our “road warrior” analyst Ray Flores to talk about what we can expect to see as we build up to Deontay Wilder’s next title defense. Wilder is chasing a title unification bout with IBF and WBA world champion Anthony Joshua of the U.K.
