“I will dash into the fight that's worthy of a battle the last one for my age, live and die every day, live and die every day”.

With those words the #ProvodnikovAlgieri presser came to an end, both fighters kept it short and showed respect towards each other, everything else will be said in the ring on June 14.

Wow what a primeval growl from the Siberian Rocky, I'm pretty sure I saw Algieri flinch!

Ruslan looks like he's ready to put everything in his performance, fight with his rugged determination, unbending will and work a game plan compiled by arguably the best trainer of this era and one of the greatest of all time, Freddie Roach.

He trained like a challenger, but he will fight like a champ. As Ali said, you must have skill and will to be a champion, but the will must be more than the skill. C'mon Ruslan!

I know!

I love those roars he does. Nobody expects that, and I think his words on it not being about the belt or the win, but about the way you fight, must've hit home with Algieri.

Chris is thinking about what he's going to get out of this fight- money, a belt, fame, before going on to bigger and better things, be it more fights or medical school, or going back to the comfort of his home town.

Ruslan is thinking only about what he's putting in, and he's putting in everything. There is no looking past the fight for Provo, it's the fight that he's here for- the means are greater than the end to him, if you know what I mean.

Ruslan is one determined fighter. He really is one of those boxers who eat, breathe and sleep boxing. This sport is everything to him and through sheer will and hard work has gotten himself to this point.

A lot of the same can be said about Algieri. Yes he has a fallback but he has put a lot in the sport himself. Through hard work and dedication to the sport, he rose from a club level fighter to having a big time opportunity on HBO. He paid his dues and earned this opportunity the hard way.

I actually think win or lose Algieri's stock is going to skyrocket from this fight. Personally, I think Provodnikov wins but Algieri will have his moments particularly early. Eventually, the Siberian Rocky will prove to be just too much at this time for Algieri. But this will not be the last time we see Algieri in a big fight on the big stage in the sport.

Both guys looked confident at the weigh in and both looked in great shape. Let them at each other now I can't wait longer…
