Oscar Valdez is one of the top young prospects in the sport. To me, he stands out from other prospects and has that “wow” factor when he performs in the ring.

What I mean by that is that there is something about him that just stands out. He is a prospect but not just a prospect. He seems destined at this young stage of his career to have something special.

Valdez is an excellent combination puncher and the punches he lands seem to just have sizzling power. They stand out. His hand speed is above average. It also stands out. And he is just well schooled and technically very solid already. That is in part to his extensive amateur background.

Echevarria is a bit of a step up for Valdez. I believe this fight is being broadcast on Top Ranks stream of the undercard on their website. I would advise fans to check out this broadcast and in particular the Valdez fight especially if you have yet to see him perform.
