Hall of Fame Trainer, Ignacio “Nacho” Beristain talks about his work with Juan Manuel Marquez, he expects his fighter to give a great show against Mike Alvarado on May 17.

Beristain considers age is not  a problem for Marquez because he works hard and takes good care of himself and that should allow them to fight for a long time like Bernard Hopkins.

Last October 12, in his first attempt at winning a record fifth world title in as many weight divisions, Márquez came up short, losing a split decision to defending WBO welterweight champion Bradley.

Meanwhile, his next opponent, Mike Alvarado's world title reign ended in his first defense, last October 19, where he suffered a 12th-round TKO to Provodnikov in front of a sold-out crowd in his Denver homecoming.

#MarquezAlvarado will take place May 17 and will be televised live on HBO World Championship Boxing®, beginning at 10:15 p.m. ET/PT.

Agreed. As long as he keeps taking his special vitamins, then he will fight every six months until he is 45 or so. He has the following and will start to take on lower competition the older he gets and the more he loses.
God bless him.
