Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto scored a fourth round technical knockout over Daniel Geale at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn New York.
Cotto, soon to turn 35 and with a record of 40 wins and 4 losses showed no problems after being off for a year, he was skilled, fast and strong.
Australian Daniel Geale 35 years old and with a record of 31 wins and 4 losses, the last one of which was against Triple G, showed his skills during the first two rounds.
Both fighters kept the action during the entire fight, giving fans what they love to watch.
Cotto had weighed in at 153 pounds while Geale weighed at the exact agreed catch weight of 157 pounds, yet apparently on fight night Geale had gained back almost 25 pounds, which probably didn?t help him for this fight.
In Round four Cotto landed a great left hook that sent Geale down, he got up but was never able to recover, Cotto continued the punishment and a right to the forehead send him down again, Geale got up again but the referee stopped the fight.
Great victory for Cotto, this is his eleventh win in New York, and now fans are just waiting to see if indeed he will fight Canelo or Triple G next.
