Mickey Garcia Talks To The Media – Showtime Boxing will have the undefeated three-division world champion Mikey Garcia (37-0, 30 KOs) coming back to the ring on March 10th, this time fighting Kazakhstani-Russian boxer and former kickboxer Sergey Lipinets (13-0, 10 KOs) for his IBF light welterweight belt. The match will take place at the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, TX.
When we last saw Garcia in action it was against Adrien “The Problem” Broner who he defeated by unanimous decision. The WBC wanted a fight between Garcia and WBA lightweight champion Jorge Linares. When there was talk that Linares would fight Top Rank’s Vasyl Lomachenko, Mikey chose to look for another option.
In this interview Garcia talks about his training after his match against Broner and the difference between fighting at 135 pounds and 140.
