Michael Conlan Talks NYC Debut

Michael Conlan Talks NYC Debut – Bob Arum and Top Rank announced a March 17th date at the famed Madison Square Garden Theater in New York City that will see the debut of Ireland’s Michael Conlan.

It is no coincidence that Conlan’s fight falls on the Saint Patrick’s Day weekend, because as a two-time Olympian representing Ireland in 2012 and 2016, the 26 year old is already one of the most recognized fighters in a fight-hungry country. Conlan took home a bronze medal in 2012 and 2016 saw him robbed in Rio so blatantly that the loss may in fact have garnered Conlan more attention than a gold medal.

Conlan’s professional debut is set to air on cable station UniMas in the United States, check your local listings for start times.

You can look back at Top Rank’s mid-January press conference announcing Conlan’s signing  streamed live from MSG in New York City.
