Floyd Mayweather is threatening to call off the fight between him and Marcos Maidana unless Maidana agrees to wear a FULL HEAVY PADDED GLOVE like the GRANTs. It is well known that Grant gloves have more padding than Cleto Reyes and Everlast. Grant is known and marketed as being a more protective glove with therapeutic technology. Cleto Reyes are the thinnest gloves out on the market but they do tend to be harsh on the knuckles. Everlast gloves are somewhat in between the cushion and the hand compared to Grant and Cleto. This is Boxing 101, easy stuff to know if you know Boxing and the tools needed to combat. I am not calling Floyd a liar but to be fair, he has fragile hands and that's why he always uses the heavier therapeutic padded Grant gloves. A simple test did prove Floyd wrong when they brought forth brand new pairs of Maidana's type gloves and were compared with the proposed, which did get approved by the Boxing Commission. All that was different between the new and Maidana's gloves is the opening of the bag and prior fitting of the glove which is in accordance to the rules as long as the gloves are in near perfect condition but the fallacious allegations of weight distribution had already been set. Floyd does have all the right to demand a prior revision that meets the standards and he got it with a fair acknowledgment of the truth. TMT has made a huge mistake being that the Commission has allowed a wide selection of optional gloves like Cleto Reyes which are actually lighter and less padded than the Everlast horse hair gloves. Floyd be careful what you wish for because Maidana's luck is getting better and better by the minute. If TMT does call off the fight, PPV refunds are going to be off the hook and Floyd will be sued for all his loot.

Complaints about the mitts are just Money May's mind games. The fight starts long before the first punch is thrown. Holla!
