He is coming off a unanimous decision win over Serhiy Fedchenko on April 14 to win the interim WBO light welterweight title.

Manny Pacquiao is 33 years old and is from Kibawe, Bukidnon, Philippines and is a southpaw with a career record of 60 total fights with 54 wins, 38 wins by knockout, 4 losses and 2 draws. Pacquiao has also shown great versatility as he has competed win the flyweight, super bantamweight, featherweight, super featherweight, lightweight, light welterweight, welterweight, and light middleweight divisions.

Pacquiao is coming off a bizarre fight in which he originally lost to Timothy Bradley by split decision only to be declared the winner by a review of 5 judges but Bradley got to retain the WBO welterweight title belt which belonged to Pacquiao before the bout.

Marquez has never defeated Pacquiao in their three previous bouts.
