Lotierzo Talks Frampton vs Santa Cruz Post Fight – The WBA world featherweight title has been disputed between Carl Frampton and Leo Santa Cruz for 24 rounds now and the belt has now changed hands twice. The pair are now 1-1 against each other and the talk has turned to an inevitable trilogy closing third fight between the two men.
The second meeting took place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Saturday January 28th and Ireland’s Frampton entered as the defending champion after he won the first meeting by majority decision last July in Brooklyn. Both men certainly came in prepared as the fight was another nightmare for the judges. In the end, it was Santa Cruz who was awarded a close majority decision to take back the title.
Also on the card, the WBC lightweight world title is now in the hands of undefeated Mikey Garcia, who easily dispatched Dejan Zlaticanin with a third round KO to take home the belt.
