Lotierzo Looks at Garcia vs Lipinets – A clash of champions is set for February 10 as IBF 140 lb titlist Sergey Lipinets faces WBC 135 lb champ Mikey Garcia with Lipinets’s belt at stake.
Lipinets captured the IBF belt in November when he won a unanimous decision over Japan’s Akihiro Kondo to grab the belt vacated by Terence Crawford. Lipinets moved to 13-0 with the win and he is now looking to move into big money territory.
Garcia returned after a two-year layoff to grab the WBC world title at lightweight and tested the waters at 140 pounds when he defeated Adrien Broner. He is moving up to try and grab a world title in a fourth weight class, but has not ruled out a return to lightweight to defend the WBC belt in the future. Lipinets will be looking to derail those plans.
In this latest TBC segment, we are joined by our killer analyst Frank Lotierzo to take a look at the PBC’s February 10th world title match between Sergey Lipinets and Mikey Garcia.
