Frank Lotierzo Looks At the Canelo vs JCC Jr Aftermath – Last Saturday night saw HBO Boxing bring us the all-Mexican “war’ between Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. After twelve lackluster rounds, Alvarez won a wide unanimous decision that saw him win every round on every judges’ scorecard.
Alvarez will now move on to face Gennady Golovkin on September 16th on HBO pay-per-view as the two men were brought together after the fight to announce the date by HBO.

Here to help us get our minds around what we just saw is veteran TBC analyst Frank Lotierzo. Lotierzo talked about the Cinco de Mayo match-up pre-fight with former world champion Montell Griffin and the fight went pretty much the way Lotierzo called it. Saving the talk of “Canelo” vs Triple “G” for another day, Lotierzo focuses on what we saw in the ring from the two men this past Saturday night. Do not miss what Lotierzo had to say right here at TBC.
