Lomachenko vs Walters Odds Review – A truly spectacular super featherweight clash is expected for Saturday night at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas as WBO 130 pound world champion Vasyl “Hi Tech” Lomachenko (6-1) faces the challenge of undefeated Nicholas “The Axeman” Walters (26-0-1).
Top Rank has been promoting Lomachenko, a two time Olympic Gold Medalist from the Ukraine, as the next big thing when it comes to technical boxing. Lomachenko has quickly won world titles in two weight classes in his short professional career and perhaps more importantly, he has been thrust into the conversation of who the best pound for pound fighter actually is.
There to spoil the party will be Walters, the confident, hard hitting former world champion at 126 pounds who is looking to make an impact as a super featherweight. Walters heard promoter Bob Arum’s comments comparing him to Muhammad Ali and he quickly retorted “Maybe I’m a young Joe Frazier.” Now that is confidence. Nvertheless he walks in Saturday night a big underdog.
