Lara vs Foreman Odds For Fri PBC on SpikeTV – This Friday, January 13th the Premier Boxing Champions are in South Florida to kick off their 2017 schedule with a full night of fights at the Hialeah Park Racing Casino that sees WBO world 154-pound champion Erislandy Lara (23-2-2) facing veteran Yuri Foreman (34-2) in defense of his belt.
The card also counts on the presence of former WBC 168-pound champion Anthony Dirrell (29-1-1) as he faces the challenge of Hungary’s Norbert Nemesapati (24-4) in a 10-round bout. Dirrell is looking to score his third win in a row since dropping his WBC belt to Badou Jack back in April of 2015.
Both Lara and Dirrell are coming off 2016 campaigns that saw each man fight only once, so these bouts are considered “tune-up” type of bouts before they head into more serious competition later on this year. Lara and Dirrell are heavy favorites entering Friday’s action, but Foreman and Nemesapati will be trying to prove the adage that anything can happen in boxing. Foreman is now 36 years old, but as a former world champion with a good bit of name recognition due to his match with Miguel Cotto back in June of 2010 (the last fight at New York’s Yankee Stadium) he is looking to make one last run. The fights air on SpikeTV, check your local listings for start times.
