Kieran Mulvaney Talks Saturday’s HBO Card – HBO’s Kieran Mulvaney talked to The Boxing Channel about his thoughts on Saturday, October 21st’s HBO card topped by Jezreel Corrales vs Alberto Machado. Check your local listings for start times.

Corrales (22-1) will be defending the WBA “Super World” title at 130 pounds against the undefeated Machado (18-0). Corrales won the title from longtime champion Takashi Uchiyama in Japan and he won a subsequent rematch to fix his hold on the title and send Uchiyama off into retirement, This past July he made his debut in the United States with a lukewarm performance against veteran Robinson Castellanos. In Machado, he is facing a 27 year old who has scored 15 knockouts in his 18 career wins and looks to be bringing hunger with him to the table. Machado presents a stiffer test than Castellanos for Corrales, who would love a signature performance for his highlight reel this Saturday.

The co-feature sees former super welterweight world champion Demetrius Andrade (24-0) moving up to the middleweight division to face off against unbeaten Alantez Fox (23-0-1). At 6’5″ in height, Fox presents a “tall order” for anyone in the middleweight division.
