I will admit I was dead wrong on this.

This was the very best performance of Khan's career in my opinion. His work with Virgil Hunter was really showcased here along with his natural gifts. Khan had Alexander off balance and out of rhythm from the opening bell. Khan fought at the range and distance he wanted and showed much improved defense. I take my hat off to him…he had a weakness and his is improving on it.

Khan has some of the fastest hands in the sport and is naturally very athletic. If he stays focused on his defense like he did in this fight, he will be a tough out for anyone, including Mayweather, at Welterweight.

Khan has the speed and length to give Floyd a lot of trouble. Especially this Floyd who is not very active punch stats wise.

Khan could beat him on activity and I dont see Floyd knocking him out at this stage in his career.

Though that will be the question, does Floyd have enough pop to buzz Khan and at least slow down his productivity?

I agree. I could see Floyd behind on points with some swelling around his 37 year old eyes after 8 or 9 rounds. Could Floyd rally and catch Amir late or has Khan learned from his past mistakes? I'd like to see the fight happen if the Manny thing falls apart, which it will. I would give Khan or Thurman a good shot at beating Floyd right now.

Khan was fabulous. He ducked Alexander and dominated him right from the start of the match. He had handled Alexander pretty easily.
