Juan Manuel Marquez made his return to The Forum a memorable one, as he beat Mike Alvarado by UD and gave the fans and exciting fight.

Marquez dominated the fight and even knocked down Alvarado in round 8, however, just when everyone thought the end was approaching for Alvarado, he came back in round 9 to score a knock down of his own; still, it would have taken a lot more than that to beat an experienced fighter like Marquez, who proved he is a legend and one of the best for a reason.

That's a smart negotiating ploy by Marquez. He is going to “think” about the Pacquaio fight. Translation, pay me enough where I don't have to think about it.

He knows he is far and away the most marketable fight for Pacquiao. So he will continue to “think” about it for some time. We will see some back and forth, he will talk about retirement and then suddenly after much thought and an offer from Top Rank that blows him away will have the desire to get back in the ring with Pacquiao one more time.

He will settle for $12mil — double what he has ever been guaranteed. And he will lose. This time, “Da Big PAY BACK” by knockout. Holla!

Radam, I think your are correct on the payday. Top Rank will start at 8 or 9 million and then it will work its way up to 12 after Marquez starts talking retirement.

I don't think Pacquiao will knock Marquez out. He may knock him down. But Marquez always finds a way to get up against We know they are evenly matched. Its a tough fight for me to make any kind of predictions on at them moment.

I will say after immediately after fourth fight I was adamantly against a fifth encounter. But my mind has changed and I am very much wanting to see the two of them do battle one more time.

I was against fight three and four. And now, I'm against fight five. Marquez's fight game of old is no longer alive. Holla!

There will be no fight 5 . JM will never risk losing bragging rights over PAC . The Cold War will be over soon. Watch Bob and Oscar come together and make JM vs Garcia , JM vs Maidana, JM vs Porter . Possibilities are endless .
