John Molina got the fourth loss of his career against Lucas Matthysse, but he delivered a fight that won him fans and credibility.

Molina gave Matthysse a lot of trouble in the initial rounds of the fight, he dropped Matthysse in the second and fifth rounds and showed a lot of heart when Matthysse was able to turn things around. A fight of the year candidate.

Molina was tremendous. He can hurt anyone with that right hand. And he showed a much better chin than any of us thought he had.

Molina's stock will certainly go up in defeat. But a guy who is this dangerous may have a hard time getting the big names at 140 to step in the ring with him. I think a great match and very makeable at that would be with Mauricio Herrera. Herrera is also dangerous (in a different way than Molina) and like Molina may find it difficult to get a top Junior Welterweight in the ring with him again soon. So why not have these two fight? It would be a great crossroads fight and set the winner up to force their way into something bigger at 140.
