JCC Jr Makes Super Middleweight Limit – This Saturday, December 10th, promoter Fernando Beltran and his Promociones Zanfer are at the Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico for a big eleven fight boxing card headlined by the return of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
Chavez Jr (49-2-1) is set for a ten round bout against Germany’s Dominick Britsch (32-2-1). Chavez Jr has not been seen in action since July of last year, and many have questioned the second generation star’s willingness to put in the hard work required to be at boxing’s top level. However he performs on Saturday, he will be under a lot of scrutiny by fans and critics alike,
As for Britsch, he too has been on a bit of a layoff, having last fought in February of 2016 in his native Germany. He went 3-0 in 2015 after being off for 15 months. For Britsch, this is his first fight in Mexico, and though he owns a May of 2011 victory against journeyman Delray Raines in the United States he has fought most of his career in his native Germany.
