Japan Goes 2-0 vs Latin America in Friday Title Fights

For the last few years, boxing afficionados have appreciated the growing rivalry between Japan and Latin America in boxing, and the last chapter to that rivalry was written Friday, September 16th in Osaka.

Long-time WBC bantamweight kingpin Shinsuke Yamanaka successfully held of the challenge of rival Anselmo Moreno of Panama, and Mexico's WBC super bantamweight beltholder Hugo Ruiz lost his title to Hozumi Hasegawa.
