What an exciting fight this was. Maidana showed real fight as always, he showed pure strength of heart getting up from the first knock down. That shot hurt him bad, other fighters may not have beaten the count but Chino showed he's tough as old boots to get up and mount an eventual come back.

Had it gone on I think he may have found the punch he was looking for.

Both guys have improved and adapted their styles after this fight, but their characters remain the same. I just hope that Amir manages to put his head before his heart next time he steps into the ring..

This was a great fight. Maidana was hurt really bad by that body shot. When I watched that fight live, did not think he was going to get out of the opening round. He showed tremendous heart to not only get out of the opening round but to almost come back and get Khan out of there.

Maidana is a completely different fighter now than he was that night in December 2010. He has added defense and some boxing skills (including a jab) since teaming with Robert Garcia. He no longer just swings for the fences but skillfully sets up his power punches.

I have honestly not seen much change in Khan since that first fight. He is very skilled and has fast hands but his defense can still use improving. He still squares up too much and does not move his head nearly enough.

He almost got him out of there but the curtains had closed before it happened. It was on it's way though…

He has improved but the problem is it's not been showcased well. He has a great chance to showcase it against Collazo, he's going to need to defend well and pour on the attack like he always does.
