Interim Title Fight Weigh-ins From Overseas – A pair of interim world titles will be decided in exotic locations this Saturday, December 17th as Ekaterinburg, Russia and the French territory of the Reunion Islands host boxing cards.

Alexander Povetkin (30-1) faces Bermane Stiverne (25-2-1) for the interim version of the WBC’s world heavyweight title. Both men have been off for more than a year but Povetkin has been a long time #1 ranked fighter with the WBC and Stiverne is a former world champion, so the winner of this fight should decide the next contender for Deontay Wilder’s WBC world title.

French veteran Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam (34-2) will be looking to win the interim WBA world middleweight title as he faces undefeated Alfonso Blanco (12-0). Blanco is coming off a layoff of over a year, while N’Jikam has already logged three pro fights in 2016, going 3-0 in the process to earn this shot at an interim belt
