Garcia vs Vargas Post Fight Review – Last night at the Liacouras Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the Premier Boxing Champions hosted a nine fight boxing card that saw WBC world welterweight champion Danny Garcia knock out Samuel Vargas in the main event.
The win for Garcia means he can now focus on his March 4th showdown with WBA world welterweight champion Keith Thurman scheduled for March 4th. Garcia took the match against the unheralded Vargas in order to “stay busy” as he last fought in January of this year. This bout gives him two fights in the 2016 calendar year which is something preferred and not all champions get. Rival Keith Thurman managed just one fight in 2016, his standout UD win over Shawn Porter back in June.
