Jorge Adolfo Febles Páez was born in Mexico in October 27, 1965. A circus performer, Paez began boxing professionally on November 16, 1984. Paez became famous for his ring entrances and extravagant outfits. Jorge Paez won the IBF featherweight champion in 1988 by beating Calvin Grove, he defended this IBF title six times and finally lost it in 1990 to Tony Lopez.
Paez fought his last fight on December 5, 2003, in Phoenix, Arizona, he defeated Scott McCraken by a ten-round split decision.
