It is a busy weekend for Women's Boxing, with two high level world titles on the line Friday, followed by another pair of world title fights on Saturday, March 19th.

In Pergamino, Argentina, the vacant IBF World Female Super Featherweight title will be on the line between Anahi Esther Sanchez (12-0) and Areti Mastrodouka (9-0). Mastradouka is from Greece but she came up fighting in the UK, while Sanchez has come up in Argentina and has a win over Dahiana Santana in August of last year that really put the spotlight on her.

On Friday, the WBC's title in the Super Featherweight division is at play as Eva Wahlstroem defends her title against Dahiana Santana in Finland. Perhaps we are seeing the seeds being planted for a high level unification bout at Super Featherweight sometime later in 2016.

Toluca Mexico is the site of the WBC World Female Light Flyweight bout between champion Ibeth Zamora Silva (24-5) and Mari Ando (12-8).

Silva has really come into her own, winning 9 fights in a row, including five successful defenses of her WBC belt. For this one, the Japan vs Mexico rivalry is in full effect as the veteran Ando Travels to Mexico for the first time. A big win by Sanchez could lead to an offer by promoters to take her to Japan, where a potential showdown with Naoko Shibata awaits.

With little on the men's side in terms of big time boxing this weekend, the four world title fights in the women's ranks really step to the forefront this weekend.
