Eubank Jr vs Yildirim Continue WBSS 168 LB Tourney- The World Boxing Series continues its super middleweight tournament this Saturday in Germany when Chris Eubank Jr faces Avni Yildirim.
Eubank Jr is heading to Germany to defend his IBO world super middleweight title in this one as well. The eclectic Eubank Jr is coming off his biggest win to date as he won a unanimous decision victory over long-time former champion Arthur Abraham to earn the #3 seed in this eight-man tournament spot. As for the undefeated (16-0) Yildirim, he is returning to his home base of Germany after going 2-0 thus far in 2017 while fighting in Italy and Mexico.
The first bout of the tournament saw England’s undefeated Callum Smith stay that way as he won a unanimous decision over Sweden’s Erik Skoglund on September 16th. October 14th sees tournament #1 seed George Groves faces fellow countryman Jamie Cox in London while October 27th sees the last of the quarter-final bouts take place in Germany as Juergen Braehmer faces Rob Brant.
