Robert Easter Jr. and Richard Commey meet for a scheduled 12 round IBF lightweight world title on PBC on Spike September 9, 2016.
Easter uses his height and reach advantage against Commey. Commey is forced to reach forward and he is successful with a number of punches. Easter sends a flurry of punches in round 4 that wakeup Commey but it does not stop there as Easter lands a solid right uppercut.
Commey continues to charge forward while scoring points and in round 8 Commey scores a knockdown. Both men exchange in round 10 but it is Easter who finishes strong in round 12. Easter delivers a flurry of punches in round 12 and knock Commey off balance. Commey is shaken up and holds on for the final round.
Easter wins by split decision and improves his record to 18-0.
