Catching Demetrius Andrade At The Fights – The super welterweight division heads into 2017 healthy and stocked with talent, and one of the top players is undefeated Demetrius Andrade (23-0). Andrade was scheduled to face Jack Culcay in Germany this past November 5th, but the fight was delayed and has not been re-scheduled. We last saw Andrade this past June when he stopped Willie Nelson in the 12th round of their headline bout at the Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York.

Right now, the respected Transnational Boxing Rankings Board lists Andrade as the #4 ranked fighter in the 154 pound weight class.

In this latest TBC video, we catch Andrade at the December 17th Bernard Hopkins vs Joe Smith Jr fight in Los Angeles. Here, a lighthearted Andrade talks to the media about his pending fight with Germany’s Jack Culcay and  gets into who he considers the second-best 154 pound boxer in the world behind himself. The confident Andrade is not impressed with many of his competitors, including the likes of “Canelo” Alvarez and Liam Smith. Check out what Andrade had to say. Shot by Marcelino Castillo.
