Its ironic as Marquez more or less disappeared following this win while Alvarado gets yet another big opportunity on HBO following this defeat (2nd in a row on HBO) against Brandon Rios.

I don't know realistically what Marquez has up his sleeve. Aside from Pacquiao and Bradley, there really are not many options. Most of the other fights or opponents that'd make interesting matchups for him are fighters aligned with Al Haymon. And realistically Arum/HBO and Haymon will still not be doing business together anytime soon.

One fight though I was thinking of for Marquez is Terence Crawford. Crawford is probably moving up to 140 and seeking a bigger fights. I don't see the fight happening right away in 2015 but maybe in the 2nd half of the year. Its a big fight and very interesting matchup that would be easy to sell and market. For Marquez, its a chance once again to further cement his legacy by defeating a young up and comer who many think is a future star. Not to mention a nice payday…And for Crawford, Marquez is just the name he needs to really launch his career into that next stage. With a win, his celebrity would rise and he'd be in line for a potential mega fight in 2016 with Pacquiao.

It'd have to be done at a catchweight probably but I think its a fight that makes a ton of sense that nobody is talking about but could be very likely to happen later in 2015.
