What a joke. Floyd allows sparring to be filmed for the first time in 18 years. Yeah OK buddy, against an out of shape heavybag with 2 feet that can't move. Put the Spadafora spar up and watch Floyd get worked by a fast southpaw. Floyd flashing his cash and talking about winning bets , how bout show some big losing bets he places or liens he had against him. Same old story with Floyd. Get an Amex black card already for crying out loud. One day some gang guy is going to get Floyd and his musclehead bodyguards for the 100 thousand they think he has on him.

I thought it was an intensely entertaining program. The boxing culture in the Garcia and Mayweather families are like parallel roads moving in the same direction.

Gramps Garcia reminds me of the Godfather of boxing … “More, more” he tells the young dutifull Maidana who obediently complies…. With a look of belief on his face that says ” if i do everything l'm told l can win this thing “

Mayweather disdainfully mocks this guy who almost gets knocked out ….. Mayweather mocks this guy who came all the way from England to train in his gym with his own simulation of the money May version of the drunken dance while the fallen fighter struggles to laugh off his embarrassment and regain his footing.

Its brutally barbaric… Yet the activities are governed by a ridgid code.

The crowd is screaming for blood over a sparring match that turns into a real fight.

The Garcia's camp tapes over the eyed and mouth of a Mayweather poster.
The Poster stands there mute and motionless like a living breathing talisman… paralyzed in fear of someone greater than itself.

Maidana dutifully shrugs off the sweat with a knowing smirk as he repeats the mitt drills again and again until he meets Gramps Garcias approval.

The best all access yet.

Yeah, he's setting himself up for a big time mugging. I never thought of that but he's making himself a huge target.

And who was that sparring partner anyway? I tried to look up that name on his equipment but I didn't find anything.

I'm having a hard time believing he's a sparring partner of the level he's employed before, like Jay Love, Deandre Latimore, Demarcus Corley, Kassim Ouma and Sechew Powell and other guys still actively competing.

Great fighters hire the best or just spar with the best of the best. Da Manny tried to hire Tim Brady for his bout against Sugar Shane. Amir Khan served as one of Da Manny's sparringmate for that bout. And “Tijuana Tornado” Tony Margarito hired top contender “No Doubt” Trout as his sparring mate for the bout with Da Manny.

Money May hasn't done any exceptional hiring of sparring partners. He is just a master of shooting people with inattentional blinding of other greats. Trust me! Money May is special. Not that special. But more special with bullsyeting, TsOTT, self promotion and optical illusions. Holla!

That's what I'm saying, he always gets the best guys in his camp.

But that dude “Toluco” on All Access?! Who the hell was he?!

And the narrative was embellished a tad bit. Yes, he doesn't allow filming but he has released snippets here and there.

Not to mention here. [url]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Azvme3RIUsA

And there are plenty more if I look for it, I'm sure. These are just the ones I remember seeing.

But it's promotions, these guys are going to make whatever they can feel special. Those who remember are mostly long gone (as buyers).

deepwater2 says:

They asked the food delivery man to get in the ring when he dropped off the food delivery. That was weak.

Floyd risks the safety of his fighters with sparring to the death ,while he makes fun of them for getting clipped, yet he spars a punching bag that will bleed for full effect. 1 thumb down for Floyd's nonsense

brownsugar says:

Floyds list of sparring partners boasts a list of the best in boxing …. and future hof talent.
You can't make a valid assessment from a half-second video… Nobody here knows what Floyd is doing in camp.

Skibbz says:

Those left hand combos that rocked the head back looked like something delivered by Tyson. Although Floyd for his weight doesn't possess half the power Tyson carried, and as Deep pointed out the opponent Floyd sparred in the All Access was nothing but a road sweeper. It's a TV show designed not with the hardcore in mind, hence the overwhelming majority of the 23 or so minutes being devoted to non-boxing matters in all the series.

Still, it was a good episode and with the weigh in a few hours a way my excitement is certainly building.

That is how it is in the game. The truth is always surrounded bodyguards of super lies and weasels. Holla!
