In the spirit of the season, Premier Boxing Champions is gifting fight fans with video clips from 12 of the year's most exciting rounds, all from bouts staged under the PBC banner.
Presented in chronological order from Round 1 through Round 12.
Some of the best rounds in boxing history are the final ones, and it's usually when neither fighter has forged a lead substantial enough to shift into cruise control.
Such was the case April 11 in Brooklyn, New York, where Danny Garcia and Lamont Peterson engaged in an old-fashioned boxer vs. puncher showdown-one that appeared to be either man's to win entering the 12th round.
As he was for much of the second half of the bout, Peterson was the aggressor from the get-go in Round 12, stalking Garcia and hammering him with one power punch after another.
Although it took him some time to get going, Garcia eventually began to return fire, leading one of those classic show-closing rounds when two drained boxers dig deep and deliver compelling, crowd-pleasing, fight-to-the-finish action.
Peterson ended up sweeping the 12th on all three cards, but it wasn't quite enough to get him over the hump, as Garcia pulled out a majority decision by the narrowest of margins: Two judges scored it 115-113 for Garcia, while the third had it 114-114.
